those meaningless also? It says a lot when someone makes the"show" every

Maybe they lack driving skills but makeup for it with car preparation and

I don't see that its any different than keeping points for any other series.
 Regional,
Divisional or National, whats the difference?

A series requiring thousands of miles of travel will have someone in a
given class who goes around the country beating up on locals who only run in
that area. Or even if the travelers don't win they rack up 2nd or 3rd place
[or worse] points in many events.
I wouldn't feel that I had done much if I got a championship by just
showing up and getting some points when I'm the only one running enough
events to get the championship.
Plenty of so-called championships in regions and local areas are the
same. Many of us have won lots of events and championships where there was
little or no competition. I don't fail to tell myself not to feel too proud
of the ones I've gotten that way.
I guess just being there is worth something. But it makes for a hollow
victory.
The wins that mean something to me are the ones where there was plenty
of good competition.
