I found this video. http://youtu.be/Vwjrh4ezwdU
Of course would not be as easy on the car but could be done. there is this =
guy too: http://youtu.be/YlnlMuYzLRE
BTW:
I was thinking of changing my brakes to DOT 5 silicone. (Yes, I cleaned out=
old DOT 4 and replaced all lines and rear cylinders)
Would DOT 5 be good for clutches too? Don't see why not.
(Hope I didn't open a whole new can of worms)

I don't know what the correct spec is but my general rule is that if it
is supposed to move, use grease; and if it is not supposed to move use
anti-seize. ( I get kind of annoyed at the people who demand only
grease where it should be anti-seize. And generally anti-seize is a very
poor grease substitute on moving parts.)

However I believe the trunnion is supposed to use oil so what do I know?

Hey guys,
Anybody on-list close enough to come to North/Western NC next weekend? The=
Triumph Club of the Carolinas annual event 'The Gathering' is at Sheldon V=
ineyards in Dobson, NC. Info atwww.triumphclub.org<http://www.triumphclub.o=
rg/><http://www.triumphclub.org<http://www.triumphclub.org/>>. It's a 3 day=
event, but Friday is mostly a self-guided tour around some nice mountain a=
nd foot-hill back roads and Sunday morning is a really fun auto-cross. The =
main car show is all day Saturday of course. Just to be clear, this is Apri=
l 15, 16, & 17. The vineyard is about 10 miles south of the NC/VA line on I=
-77.
Maybe reply if you might be there. I will be as long as the weather is nice=
. I think I'll drive the Spit this year.

The normal hole to use is the center hole.?
If you have had to add fluid after bleeding then where did the fluid go?? C=
heck to see where the fluid went.
One thought here is to safely jack the car up and see if you have excessive=
movement in the clutch fork. This can be done with the slave rod disconnec=
ted from the arm. A small piece of pipe may help for leverage to see if you=
feel a catch in the movement.? If so then you may have a broken pin in the=
clutch fork.

I don't know what the correct spec is but my general rule is that if it&nbs=
p;<br>
is supposed to move, use grease; and if it is not supposed to move use =
;<br>
anti-seize. ( I get kind of annoyed at the people who demand only&nbs=
p;<br>
grease where it should be anti-seize. And generally anti-seize is a very&nb=
sp;<br>
poor grease substitute on moving parts.)<br>

However I believe the trunnion is supposed to use oil so what do I know?<br=

I'm wondering if there is anyone there:)) ?I changed my clutch slave cylind=
er and bled it. ?Went for a drive andafter sitting in a drive through a few=
minutes had a heck of a time getting it in gear. ?I learned a long time ag=
onot to take the car out of gear
in situations like that. ?After some crunching of gears I got home. ?On ad=
viceof one more experienced than me I re-bled the thing with my son pushing=
the pedal and me under the car.?Finally after seeing no more air bubbles a=
nd having a good amount of resistance
I went for a short drive.Returning home and about to turn into my driveway=
I had to crunch the gears again. ?More fluid was added and?more pumping et=
c. I felt confident. ?I got to the end of my street today before I had to d=
o a U turn and come home.I wonder
whats wrong? ? ?There are different spots on the rod into the slave and fr=
ankly I don't remember?which hole I have it set at. ?Would changing that ma=
ke a difference? ?Should I go to the hole nearer theslave or father awa<br>
y, should it come to that. ?Ideas, opinions, prayers??John Summers, ?=

Hey guys,<br>
Anybody on-list close enough to come to North/Western NC next weekend? &nbs=
p;The Triumph Club of the Carolinas annual event 'The Gathering' is at Shel=
don Vineyards in Dobson, NC. Info at<a href=3D"http://www.triumphclub.org/"=
>www.triumphclub.org</a><<a href=3D"http://www.triumphclub.org/">http://=
www.triumphclub.org</a>>.
It's a 3 day event, but Friday is mostly a self-guided tour around some ni=
ce mountain and foot-hill back roads and Sunday morning is a really fun aut=
o-cross. The main car show is all day Saturday of course. Just to be clear,=
this is April 15, 16, & 17. The
vineyard is about 10 miles south of the NC/VA line on I-77.<br>
<br>
<br>
Maybe reply if you might be there. I will be as long as the weather is nice=
. I think I'll drive the Spit this year.<br>

The normal hole to use is the center hole.? <br>
<br>
If you have had to add fluid after bleeding then where did the fluid go?? C=
heck to see where the fluid went.<br>
<br>
One thought here is to safely jack the car up and see if you have excessive=
movement in the clutch fork. This can be done with the slave rod disconnec=
ted from the arm. A small piece of pipe may help for leverage to see if you=
feel a catch in the movement.?
If so then you may have a broken pin in the clutch fork.<br>
