Agreed, Evapo rust is slow.
I did try the electrolytic rust removal, and depending on the power supply
amperage
it goes pretty fast.
I did the fresh air intake sheetmetal part that's down by the radiator on the
bugeye.
I think I was going at 10 amps for about 45 minutes and it was done.
Electrolytic is my method of choice for dealing with any rust going forward.
Unfortunatley these methods only work for items off the car and can be immersed
in a bucket.
Otherwise it's penetrant and patience.
I have only used the torch once on an exhaust manifold bolt, but I have removed
plenty with the big pipe wrench, where I had chewed up the nut so bad it had to
be replaced,
but it did come off.
