- ok, don't laugh... how about an old beetle? Get a super beetle with the macpherson strut front end. Do a lot of engine work, maybe something above 1900CCs..... that could be fun :) on a side note...

- I've seen a couple on the road, but they are rare here. There are also a few road racing here in ITC and GP and GT4. And there used to be a Barney purple one that autoxed here a couple of years ago

- 1974, although those early cars had pretty small engines -- a '74 chassis would be an immediate engine-swap candidate. And early Rabbits were not blessed with great reliability. I thought about that

- 1975. I bought one of the first Rabbit Custom cars in the state. There were three lines of Rabbit: Basic, Custom, Deluxe. The Deluxe sucked because it had no lap belt, just a knee pad and a shoulder

- This made me think of the old Volvo coupes from the late 60's/early 70's. I think they were just called the 1800 or something, not entirely sure. Look a bit like a Karman Ghia with a Jaguarish front
