I'm inclined to agree with you. I have told him what the bank is -- so far, that's all. I don't know what could come of his getting a facsimile of the cheque a few days before I come to get the bike

John and Joe: I am trying to avoid carrying a significant amount of cash (I have to travel a ways to get the bike), and I don't like the idea as SOP.

Would my bank account number be on a cashier's cheque? If so, faxing it to him ahead of time would be the same as giving him my account number -- not a good idea. This guy is not desperate for a sale
