Would my bank account number be on a cashier's cheque?

If so, faxing it to him ahead of time would be the same as giving him my
account number -- not a good idea.

This guy is not desperate for a sale; we have been negotiating this for
about a month, and he has walked away from it several times. I know
where he lives and works, but this request strikes me as odd.
