The non embossed "Lucas" distributor cap will get you a deduction in
Concours. Use of the "bumblebee" wires will do the same because those wires
were not available until after the TR4A's production. Those "bumblebee"
wires would probably help in Participant's Choice balloting but if you are
in Concours stay with the black wires and the embossed cap.

Well....
Lou, you could be correct about the availability of the "bumblebee"
wires...in a way. However, my Lucas 400E Master Catalogue 1945-1960 lists the
following "High Tension Cables" (all 7mm):
Black Standard Rubber
Black Neoprene
Yellow/Black Braided Glossy
and P.V.C. in Red, Black, Blue, Green, White, Yellow, Purple, Grey and
Orange!
Wow. There are no pictures, though, and the book doesn't otherwise indicate
if any of these wires was "branded" in any way.
