That sounds counter-intuitive to me.  Seems to me that since there is
limited space within the roundabout priority should be given to those
wishing to exit thereby making room for those who wish to enter.  Giving
priority to cars entering will block the ones attempting to exit and would
lead to gridlock.

Perhaps the slow pace of the Mediterranean lifestyle is the reason this
isn't an issue.
