I did that in a roundabout and ended up 'opening' the Barnstaple flyover a 
couple
of weeks before its official completion.  Construction guy looked unhappy until 
I
spoke -- then said "Oh you're a Yank aren't you?" that seemed to explain and
forgive everything.
