Well the problem with buying the trailer is that it may put me over my
budget if it's the size I'm looking for. I don't want to think about that
until I find the means to get it to point B. I can buy the tow bar at the
local parts store, or rent from any of the local utility places for under
$100. That's no big deal. I just can't find a way to tow for less then
$1500.
I don't think there's a Penske outlet here, but there is a number for
them. I just don't think there's a Penske dealer at my destination. As for
driving there, then picking up a tow vehicle, then driving back, then
driving there again, I don't think I'd be saving much especially if they put
a limit on my miles.
So far no one at the destination has a vehicle available for towing.
As for my cars, the Jetta is one of the first that is no longer in my
possession. It had been parked for the last two years and was no longer
road legal. Many will be pleased to hear that it has been used among 4
different cars for parts and the heart is the power plant for a successful
local race car.
None of my cars have hitches, and the Audi needs to much to pass
emissions and renew the license on top of that.
I didn't know the car had to be licensed to be towed. I don't think it
will have to be licensed here in Ontario, but I don't know about Quebec or
NB. A full sized trailer may be in order then.
