I have a question for the list <there's a surprise>. As many lurkers
know, I am in financial ruin and have given away three cars recently, but kept
the only one that matters. I was planning on going to Arizona to start new,
but need to make an intermediary stop in eastern Canada to stay with family
until I can get the car ready to do the drive and to store most of my
belongings on a more permanent basis.
My dilemma is that I don't have a way to get my non running GT6 to the
destination 14 hours drive away within a reasonable budget. Uhaul wants $1500
for the smallest truck and more for the dolly and extra for more miles. This
doesn't include gas on a not so efficient vehicle. For $1500 I could legally
put my fire breathing, highly toxic Audi back on the road and tow it myself.
For $1500 I could make the GT6 road legal and ship all my personal junk down.
Is there another way to get the car down there for a reasonable price? That's
the most important thing. The rest of my stuff will fit in a mini van at this
point.
