Greetings all,

I just thought I'd announce that I am acquiring a friend for my
Fireball... a '74 1500 who seems to be a pretty good buy. The body is in
very similar condition to how mine was when I got it - in need of at least
one rocker, two dogleg panels, one rear lower quarter patch, two front lower
quarter 'pods', at least one portion of the floor, sill closing plates, and
likely a little more... In short, a typical Southwestern Ontario LBC.
The car has only travelled 50k miles, this is verified by the PO, but
was stored in a damp barn for 4 years hence the rust! The carpet is moldy
and shot, but otherwise the interior shows remarkably little wear (The seats
look brand new compared to Fireball's!) ... the only odd thing I've found so
far is an assembly of FIVE air horns in front of the rad which likely play a
song... probably Rule Brittania or something silly like that!
The reason for the sale is that the car is without exhaust! The old
system was scrapped, plus apparently the manifold is cracked. The PO has a
UK spec manifold for it though, which leads me to my questions:

1. Is a UK spec exhaust manifold not a much better unit??

2. What does everyone recommend as far as an exhaust system? Fireball has a
Monza, and I am NOT impressed with the quality of the system, and though I
like the sound with the blown-out glasspacks, this car will be my wife's
driver and I'd rather have it a tad quieter!

TIA
Luke
