The European stock manifold is an extremely good tri-y design. I would
seek one of those out before I'd go with headers, especially considering
the poor quality of most headers, and the exorbitant price tag.

For exhaust, I've been quite pleased with the flow characteristics of
the Dyno-Max mufflers, as well as the sound. They have a low
mellow sound, not the tin can effect of things like Monza or FlowMaster.
They are also fairly cheap. I don't have one on my Spitfire at the moment,
but that's because the factory original is still in fine shape.

1. Is a UK spec exhaust manifold not a much better unit??

2. What does everyone recommend as far as an exhaust system? Fireball has a
Monza, and I am NOT impressed with the quality of the system, and though I
like the sound with the blown-out glasspacks, this car will be my wife's
driver and I'd rather have it a tad quieter!
