Well folks, I tried to turn the crankshaft pulley, but it would not wiggle. T=
hat was encouraging. Then I inserted the starting crank and turned it. Every=
thing felt normal. That was encouraging. Then I pulled the pulley forward lo=
ngitudinally, by inserting a screwdriver between the pulley and the timing c=
over. It easily moved about 1/8 inch forward. That was disturbing. So I gues=
s I have a broken crankshaft, correct?

At least I have the Magnette running.
