Joey,

It seems to me that almost everybody is recommending you would use your
street tires.  I also detect that you have been bitten by the dreaded R tire
bug and no matter what everybody says, you are going to justify running on
them at the school.  There is nothing wrong with that.  If you can afford
it, more power to you.  If you are looking for a stamp of approval from this
bunch, don't hold your breath (I'm not counting the guy who runs around on R
tires on the street).  :)
