LFC - Little French Car - a Citroën BX Turbo Diesel

I have once again had to shell out hard earned cash on another set of pads
on the LFC, genuine Citroën items yet clearly inferior to those fitted to my
Triumphs (obligatory LBC content)

As well as exhibiting excessive rates of wear, the pads also leave copious
amounts of dust on the wheelrims, the discs need a reugular skimming and I
don't believe the brakes are as good as when we first bought the car
approximately 5 years ago. The garage foreman stated that they have similar
problems with other European franchises they service (Audi, Jaguar and VW)

Has anyone else experienced the same problems with brake pads fitted their
Newer European cars and have they had any luck finding better pads than the
'genuine' article?

Thanks
