- You'll definitely need a GT6 master cylinder. Have you overhauled the Spit brakes? You shouldn't need GT6 brakes on a Spit to get good brake action - the standard brake system (if in good condition)

- Apparently, it's the J-type overdrive unit only, without solenoid even. You need a solenoid (not exactly cheap), complete overdrive gearbox (or the appropriate switchgear to convert a non-OD gearbox)

- The overdive unit on Ebay came out of a 1976 Spitfire, which makes it a J-type. J-type overdrives are generally hooked up to single-rail gearboxes. If your gearbox is original, it's a 3-rail gearbox
