- You should be able to find an auto upholstery/top shop that will sew in new windows if the rest of the top is sound, but it may not be worth it--a top is not very expensive if you install it yourself

- PPG recommend DP40 as a substrate for polyester fillers (bondo). It's been over 2 years now, and no problems. For the record, bondo will not stick to Vari-Prime, so don't try that. It peels right off

- I will guess it had to do with the engine rocking on its mounts one way when going forward, and the reverse when backing up. I would inspect the coil primary wire and the engine ground wire first. R
