I had a bright young student in my automotive program some years ago who 
decided to upgrade his Fiat 850 with a rack and pinion steering.  He had just 
welded in the brackets when I asked where it had been located in the donor 
junk yard car.  You guessed it.  Left was right.  We had a good laugh and he 
went back for another one.  
If you see the Gill Nickle rig at the track ask Tom about it.  He has become 
a very capeable racing mechanic.
