Bob, We inspected the frame and diff mount pins when we rebuilt the car and installed all the reinforcing parts in this area as well. And wouldn't a cracked diff mount make the "clunk" even with the E brake on and the car not moving? I would think that the mounts would shift as torque was reversed even if the wheels were locked. With the wheels locked, we get no "clunk".
