With respect, John, I'd like to suggest that this does not apply to the
TR2-3. Unlike other TRs, they have no link whatsoever between the heater
and the center vent. And of course most TR2s don't even have a vent !
Having driven a TR3A in Indiana winter, I can attest that opening the vent
does nothing good for heat.
