The heater in my TR3 worked enough to take the chill off and clear the
windshield (after I scraped it on both sides) in Minot ND. I drove it all
winter with wind chills below -65 degrees, ambient temps below -20. Had a
small block heater and had to start the car with the clutch in; had 3 engine
turnovers in the battery max. Normally started on the second verrrrry slow
turnover. Of course I had sorrel boots and a parka on as well as long
johns, heavy gloves etc. It was my daily driver for a year. I guess a well
working heater is relative.
Tom,
Where are you in Florida? Please contact me off list - I'm in the Tampa
area now.

Actually, the heater in the TR3 worked very well today. I had to turn it
off because it got so hot. I even had the top down. A beautiful 50 mile
ride through the less populated areas of Central Florida at 68 degress F.
When it's cold and I really need the heater and Janet's with me, I close off
my side of the heater and let her get the warmth. That way I can get her to
go again next time. ;^)
Thankfully it's Triumph time in Florida.
