Dear Kelly,

Every once in a while I do their on-line political quiz. And every
time I get the same result - I'm "on the border of left-liberal and
libertarian".

I categorise myself as an eighteenth-century revolutionary: Liberty,
Equality and Fraternity are the key elements. Twenty-first-century
libertarianism is too self-centred for me, and twenty-first-century
state socialism is too invasive of personal liberty. I'd gladly live
in the United States that the Declaration of Independence and the
Constitution originally defined, but not in today's America.
