Is the stock fan mounted on a clutch, or is it bolted directly to
the pulley? If it's not on a clutch, it spins all the time, even
when it's not needed. An electric fan can shut itself off when
the airflow produced by the car moving forward is enough to cool
it. When it's not running, it won't take any more power.
If the stock fan is on a clutch, then none of this matters, and
all I did was practice my typing.
