Thanks to all of you who pointed out that the electric fan doesn't
run all of the time - it will typically switch itself off when you're
moving at speed... However, this is exactly when you don't need
the extra horses IMHO... On average, yes they may use less 
power, but when you're taking off from stop, you still may or may not
get the benefit of not having a mechanical fan as it depends on how
hot the engine is...
