Back home from VTR and boy, what a trip. 10 days, 9 states, 2 provinces,
2 countries and one VTR convention with 300+ cars! The odometer
accumulated 4,122 miles from the time we left home till the time we
returned. and with a 5% error in the odometer that calculates to
an actual milage of 3,925 miles. All that distance on 155.5 gallons (US)
yeilds 25.24 MPG (US). Total maintenance: two quarts of oil. For
you blokes in the UK that is the equivelent of 5 trips from London
to Edinburg. And Back again!
Now Dave Terrick is saying: "Hey! If you can drive all that way to
Maine, including going to New, by golly, Brunswick, Why don't you
come up to one of our meets at T'under bay, Eh?"
To which I reply: "Why not? I still got 92$ (Cdn) left over from this
trip and I can't spend it here." Just say when and I'll budget
some of my precious vacation time (holiday leave).
Well, 4000 miles in a rag-top car with no AC and a noisy muffler
and the car has held up better than I did. I'm beat.
Bye for now
Dave Massey
P.S. Ran out of money just as I got home. Is this a perfect vacation
(holiday) or what?
