Jack,
I could not get the big fat flat o-ring that came with the conversion to
work. It was too fat to slip into the groove. I ended up using a the
biggest ring from a unused cartridge filter.... the kind you would put in
the groove for the old element and canister.
It turns out I still have my oil leak.... but it must be coming from the
oil pressure line. I have to get the car up on a lift, clean it off and
watch for the leak to start. It is somewhere at or north of the oil
filter housing.
