Bearing noise (throw out) will be a rumbling or growl, that changes in
pitch with the engine (if rev'd) when the clutch pedal is depressed. It
can be heard even if the pedal is not fully depressed, but just depressed
enough to contact the bearing to the pressure plate actuating
fingers/levers. It's not a really a rattling sound- sounds like something
inside yours is just rattling around (or vibrating, like maybe if the shaft
was fixed [re-pinned or bolted] at one time and some material was left in
the old cross pin hole?) and if it's been there for seven years, and not
gotten any worse, I don't think I'd worry too much about it - still, would
be interesting to see what it is, although I don't think its worth tearing
apart just to find out :-)
