Dave,
I can't add any more than has already been said except to say that you
should already have the holes in the tub at the inner locations. The
problem is they won't have the reinforcement and this reinforcement MUST be
done. You WILL also need the rotoflex radius arm mounting brackets The
reinforcement parts can be purchased and welded in. The inner fender shock
mounts can be purchased as well, but as stated are hard to get. I have a
GT6 to look at and just fabricated ones identical to the ones on my GT and
welded them in place. There is also the other type as described that are
sandwiched between the rearmost body mounting and the frame, extending
outward, attaching to the original Spitfire/GT shock frame mounting holes
and extending further outward with a new set of holes for shock mounting
(whew). I have no personal experience with these, but had I known about
them I probably would have gone that route as it seems an elegant solution
to the problem (wonder why Triumph didn't do it the same way?). The other
main hurdle will be the steel brake lines. These end up in different
locations for the rotoflex cars and you will have to replace or fabricate
lines to match the original locations and frame mounting brackets. I also
used the larger Spitfire MK4 1500 sway bar (already on my car), but I also
(re) installed the swing spring from my Spitfire. The rear hand brake cable
from the rotoflex GT6 will have to be used, but the hand brake won't
function as well because of the different location of the cable guides on
the rotoflex GT (unless you relocate these as well, although it will work
fine for parking).
If I can think of anything else I'll let you know-
