I am trying to determine the vacuum line connections to the thermostatic switch
that was originally installed in the upper radiator hose on '74 TR-6's. I am
interested in '74 models wth comm # between CF12500 - CF35000. The '72 - '73
models only have two lines going to the switch.

The DPO removed and capped off *every* vacuum line on this car and none of my
available reference material show which of the three vacuum lines going to this
'switch' go where, including Bently, Haynes and the TRF parts catalogs.

The switch I have (it appears original) has 4 vacuum ports. Two at the top,
marked 'M' and 'C'; one at the far right end marked 'D' and one at the bottom
marked with both a 'T' and 'FI'. It appears that only 3 are used and one is
supposed to be capped off.

One vacuum line runs from both bypass valves on the carbs to the switch. Port
??

Another vacuum line runs from the bottom of the front carb to the switch. Port
??

The last vacuum line runs from the switch to the vacuum retard on the
distributor. Port ??.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Steve Sutton
