It works differently in Oregon.
We are close to Washington State, but not close enough to drive there to
fill up, (20 miles one-way). But, on the average, in Washington State,
their gas is 12-15 cents a gallon LESS than here in Portland, just 20
miles away, where we are prohibited by law to pump our own gas.
Not to mention them overfilling, scratching the paint, etc. Fortunately,
they usually don't want to touch our Spitfire, so they let me pump it,
cause it's "classic", and apparently a loophole in the law? Helps that
it looks real good, in good shape, etc.
