I like fast, open, simple courses. It isn't
so much raw speed that causes most of the trouble.
It is those sudden, very tight offsets, those left-right-left
maneuvers at the end of a reasonably moderate-speed
straight that can catch out even a very good, very
experienced driver.
I've had some great fun on airport courses with
some very hard lane-change type maneuvers
at speeds way above what we normally think of
as appropriate for Solo2. Dangerous. But fun. And
very unwise from a safety standpoint.
None of us wish to see anyone injured.
And it won't do the sport any good if someone gets
hurt really badly. Owners of sites don't like blood-sports
on their property.
