If I lived on dirt road 25 miles from the nearest parts store and it was 
late in the evening, I could see that.  Otherwise, wow, that sounds like a 
pound of solution for an ounce of problem.

Something I learned from a BMW list is that if you take the old washers and
put them in a flame like on your stove and get them nice and hot you can
reuse them and they will re-form.
