My opinion is: On cold days heavier cars are faster, relative to the
lighter cars. I witnessed this many times, Ex: on a cold day in 1990,
Larry's Vette was about 1.1 behind my B-Mod March, yet on a very warm
day in Salina, he was some 5 seconds behind me, this was in the same
year within a few months. The difference between having a good driving
day and a bad driving day is a minor part of this difference, but
certainly not all of it.
