I m not sure who, but someone made the comment that triumphs were meant to be driven at the Red-Line. Is this just one person s opinion or are their other listers out there, in agreement. I have neve

As my engine has covered just over 300 miles since a full rebuild it has been nowhere near its redline. Maybe one day... ;-) Some articles suggested that it is due to the type of driver and the posit

So I take it that your reason for having a sports car is for genteel grand touring. My reason is because I love charging lonely windy mountain roads. My TR3A engine has a harmonic dampener for the b

The reason the TR four cylinder engine is redlined at 4800 is that there is a nasty harmonic just a tad over 5000 RPM that tends to crack the crank at the base of the flywheel mounting flange. The n

Kas was getting 7000 RPM out of GT6 engines. It is all a matter of perspective. Why not just drive a Cadillac convertible and not a sports car? I agree for cruising down the highway. Somehow I get t

I can't think of a more concise way to make this point: If Triumphs (those intended for use on public roads, that is) were truly 'meant' to be driven at the red-line or at high rpms, Triumphs (you pi
