I think the point of having all the plugs out is that if the other plugs are left in then a blown head gasket may not show up as lower compression if the leak is from the cylinder being tested into a

I use a TR4 fan on my TR3A so I don't think you'll have any interference. As for improved cooling... who knows? But it should move a bit more air so it must be at least some improvement. Geo Hahn

I'll confess to limited knowledge of TR6s but would suggest you check the sending unit. Perhaps a search or a lister can provide the resistance you should be getting for empty, half-full, full, etc.
