I routinely use the Brooklands style windscreen for winter Arizona 
driving since we go months at a time w/o rain.  Have never had a problem 
with law-enforcement -- perhaps because the car was built before most of 
these guys were born.  Plus gray hair (what there is of it) probably 
makes me an unlikely target for a traffic stop.

I always wear eye protection (sunglasses by day, safety glasses by 
night) as there is the possibility of the odd rock or bug.

Note -- for the usual Brooklands sold I mounted it using a built-up 
'shoe' in place of the rubber gasket on the lefthand mount so it sits 
closer to level.  Can send a pic if you get to that point.
