IIRC-the P-51 Mustang was actually a collaborative effort by the British and the Yanks. In fact, "P-51 Mustang" is the U.S. name-though at this point I don't remember what the Brits called it. Thoug

No - the Typhoon was an indiginous British product and was built by Hawker. It's engine was a Napier H-configuration unit - from memory it might have been called the Sabre, but don't quote me on that
