At a guess it sounds to me like a master clinder leak. The piston doesent expand as much as the bore, the ruber seal can take up the difference in size when cold, but when it's hot there is too much

The 2-4-6-8 represents the diamiter of the bore. Goes like this 2 = 1"1/4 4 = 1"1/2 6 = 1"3/4 8 = 2" on the HIF's there were also 44 = 44mm 66 = 66mm The SU's were made in these styles H Early 40-50'
