Autocross went through this same thing when the original 008 was introduced. This is a gray area that several aircraft carriers can sail through side by side. I don't really think there is a solution

I picked the C-4 Vette on a regional basis for A Stock simply because of the numbers of them available. I don't see the current C-4 drivers selling their cars, they will just change the class letters
