I picked the C-4 Vette on a regional basis for A Stock simply because of the
numbers of them available. I don't see the current C-4 drivers selling their
cars, they will just change the class letters on the doors. When you
consider how much Corvette you can buy for around $10,000, and the size of
the aftermarket available, it's something that even I would consider. A no
brainer in my book.
Now. On a national level, of course the Porsche 993 has to be considered,
especially if there is some sort of contingency program. Regionaly, those
cars are still in the hands of the waxers and gold chain types.
In B Stock, I picked the F body tuner cars because on a local basis we don't
see much of anything else listed in the class other than a few Porsche 944's
and a lone MR2-Turbo. And because I have heard people saying that a Camaro
with a full up Corvette engine sounds like a good deal. Something a regular
guy might justify.
