One of the oddities about RHD to me is the fact that despite roads being governed by traffic on the right, many expensive European sports cars of the twenties and thirties had RHD. I believe this included Hispano-Suiza, and Alfa. The reasons for this choice are not clear to me. Was this a way of pretending that these grand tourers were meant for competition?
