Here in Germany, Vintage Racing takes place strictly according to FIA
Appendix K.
Among other categories there is the touring car division (build before
31.12.1965), where I race my 1964 Mercury Comet Cyclone.
Cars are classiefied by engine capacity and here are the ultimate winners:
Up to 1150 ccm Mini Cooper
Up to 1300 ccm Mini Cooper
Up to 1600 ccm Alfa GTA / Lotus Cortina
Up to 2000 ccm BMW 1800 TI
Up to 2500 ccm Jaguar MK II
Over 2500 ccm Ford Mustang / Ford Falcon Sprint
I've thougt about that carefully ... after I bought my Cyclone!
