Although definately not an authority, I can attest that Gilf oil did sponser 12 Hrs at Sebring in 1970. My 69 Camaro, which won first iin class, along with every other car on the grid, sported large Gulf decals. According to Vince Gimondo, owner/driver at the time, Gulf provided fuel and oil for all entrants. Vince claimed that you didn't have to use the oil, but, (obviously) had to use the fuel. Fred |
