There is a lot of info on Gulf Oil and Grady Davis in John Wyers'
autobiography, "The Certain Sound". Hard to find and rather pricey, it is one
of the best reference books on the Ford GT/Porsche 917 era (however, I got
mine in a used book sale for $2). No longer in print. There is also some info
on Davis in "Fast Chevys" by Alex Gabbard on p.60 (regarding his Corvette
team). A great book with excellent interviews.
