Two years ago it was 74 for the formula cars as well .

Thats the problem. That is where I was this spring when a Spec car hit me
and spun me off the track at turn #3. He was an SCCA driver that was
practicing for REAL competition and was a bit more agressive than I thought
he should be.
I would like a place where I could race other Slick tired, Winged, cars from
the period 1974 through ??1980?? in a spirit that admits we are no longer
competitive. If I race SCCA all the young, immortal, drivers drive like its
a demolition derby. I dont want to wreck my car, I have nothing to prove.
>But, given that the Lola is not a vintage car why the

So I can race with CVAR at TWS. The non vintage group is all I can get, so
I will take it, I just dont like it.

I was in with Vetts and Mustangs last spring and an Indy car that was
lapping me every 2 laps! I just dont think 800HP should be on the same
track with 120HP

True enough, at this time.
I am arguing that this should not be the case.
Just because I dont think Dole has a snow balls chance in hell doesnt mean I
am going to vote for Clinton. I never accept anything I think can be changed.
I think if I speak up and maybe some others speak up, maybe there will be a
change. I am sure that in 1973 no one considered the 1972 cars to be
"Vintage". Its just a mater of definition. When and where is the
definition decided. "Vintage" is not a magic word that was defined in the
Bible as "1972 and earlier". It is a word that will be redefined again and
again as people and cars get older. In 1920 I am sure there were those that
would have said "Vintage racing" was horse racing "and for gods sake, dont
include any cars."
>It would be nice to have a class for these cars, but who's responsibility is
>it to provide one?
Everyone who believes that cars in general should be preserved for the future.
