I can't say that it never happens that way ... only that it doesn't always
happen that way. In fact, when I converted my motorhome, it actually
stopped a leak !
Had a 1980 Chevy that I converted to DOT 5 the first time a caliper started
leaking ... when I junked it in 2001 with a quarter million miles on it, it
still had the original 1980 seals at 3 corners & the MC, and no leaks.
