Your symptoms are consistent with what I had when mine went bad. Just an
unbolt/bolt process. The hard part is that four of the nuts are in the
footwell.
And you have to disconnect the clevis pin on the pedal. Unbolt the master
cylinder and move it forward enough to clear the studs on the booster and then
remove the booster.
On the other hand, check the master cylinder. The most frequent cause of a
failed booster is brake fluid leaking from the master cylinder into the
booster. check the master for leakage and rebuild/replace if necessary.
