Is there anything I can do to speed the
process along or do I just play the waiting game until if and when the car
actually becomes available?
I want to do everything above board and would like to know if anyone has
acquired an abandoned car from a garage and if they have any
advice/experience to share.
At the risk of pissing off the garage, you can inquire as to how much the
guy would owe if he showed up, repairs and storage....and then trace the
license plate and try and contact the owner directly. I bought a Sunbeam Imp
this
way once. I showed up at the garage with the title, paid a few bucks storage
and drove it off. I bought the title for $5 from a college student.
Most states will tell you who registered the car....then Google will find
them.

_This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle, This earth of majesty, this
seat of Mars, This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature
for herself Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men,
this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it
in the office of a wall Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy
of less happier lands,-- This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this
