But I need to say that VTR
needs to make up it's mind what RULES govern stock Vs modified in autocross.
Seems to me that VTR HAS made up its mind - the rules are very clear - its
up to folks running the event to READ the rules and inform participants -
there are always going to be some folks showing up for a VTR autocross who
honestly aren't going to know what places them in a modified class - any
wheel
larger than what came on the car with an offset differing by more than .25
inches would do it
When I had my car teched earlier in the week, I informed the inspector that
the wheels on the car then were not the wheels I'd autocross on but that the
autocross wheels were stock size. When I got to the start line at the event I
thought he was about to ask me about my wheels but then remembered our
earlier conversation - so my impression was they knew the rules and were
watching.
I didn't personally notice anything classed wrong and I have no complaints
about the autocross - i'm happy with what i got considering how bad i screwed
up both my runs - but I have been wondering how a stock TR6 managed to be 3rd
quick overall - IMHO that's an awesome accomplishment
